    Greatness - Acknowledge It

    By Bests | December 25, 2007

Do you recognize and acknowledge your greatness? Do you give yourself a pat on the back or a high-five? While most people believe that self-recognition is bragging, who better to recognize and acknowledge your greatness than you?

We are all attracted to greatness when we recognize it—albeit is to some degree subjective—we know the feeling of it. When we recognize it, something stirs within, as if awakened and comes forth to meet what was inside all along. When we respond to another’s greatness, we feed our own.

You may feel compelled to commit yourself to your visions, or you may be inspired to follow a path you forge yourself. Either way, you cannot lose when you recognize that the greatness you recognize in others belongs to you as well. This phenomenon is governed by universal law. Whether you like or dislike something in someone else, you recognize it because it lies within you as well.

Your recognition of this is a call to action that, if attended, will inspire not only you but others to the greatness they possess. This is, of course, a cycle of greatness unfolding itself endlessly into the greatest future.

We recognize those who possess greatness as standing apart from others in unique ways, usually by the depth and breadth or originality of their vision and their ability to manifest it. We each rely upon others who are able to recognize as we do, to listen, support and encourage our journey. Without people who recognize greatness and offer support, the greatest ideas, works of art, and lifestyle evolutions would take longer to be born.

In the end, greatness is the best of what we have to offer. Greatness is merely that which has not been done before and inspires the same courage that it requires. When you recognize greatness in others, you know it for yourself, and when you trust its authenticity, you embody it.
