The State Of The Union - The Third Rome Or The Third Reich?

Patient: “Doc, how are your daughters?”
Doc: “They’re OK!”
Patient: “How’s your mother in Israel?”
Doc: “She’s doing fine; I am going to see her next month.”
Patient: “What do you think about the Election year?”
Doc: “It’s ridiculous, absurd and a big mess! Rome is burning and is quickly sinking…. Do we address the issues to stop the hemorrhaging and how to resuscitate the situation before it flatlines? Our economy is in the tank. We are fighting a two front war and irrationally thinking about opening a third front. Yet, the candidates are engaged in silliness and pettiness of who is wearing a black toga, or a white toga, or a whatever color toga. I tell you this - these are the last days of Rome - the beginning of the end!”
Patient: “There is no hope, Doc?”
Doc: “Well, you always want to catch and treat the cancer in its early stage. If not, there comes a point when you tell the patient - ‘Get your house in order because you only have six months to live. If you believe in God, pray to Him and hope for the best.’”
Patient: “Ouch! What a diagnosis of our body politic? Very well, as the saying goes, ‘an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.’”
Doc:
Patient: “She’s fine.”
Doc: “Tell her she should visit Israel. It’s not as violent as she thinks…. Regardless, please give her my regards.”
Patient: “Will do, Doc…as we navigate the rough seas and interesting times in the U.S.
